The purpose of OHSU Language Services Department is to provide healthcare interpretation and translation services for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and limited English proficiency (LEP) patients as appropriate and otherwise governed by OCR 1964 ruling and DNV. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative operations of the interpreters and language services vendors at OHSU Hospital and Clinics. Provides direction, coordination and consultation for the achievement of departmental objectives and the effective utilization of interpreter resources with the institution\u2019s goals, objectives and mission. Serves as the interpreter resource expert, trainer and first point of contact for clinics and departments for interpreting services.
