The Librarian – Systems/Web Services will assist the Leadership of Library Services in the planning and delivery of library services to Camden County College students, faculty, and staff with a strong commitment to customer service.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONSINCLUDE: 1.Lead in the overall development, implementation, and maintenance of library technology. 2.Coordinate the development, management, and assessment of the library's online presence, including but not limited to the library web site and vendor-hosted digital products. 3.Help resolve issues surrounding off-campus access to online resources and services. 4.Work with the Camden County Public Library to ensure optimal operation of the shared integrated library system and open source initiatives. 5.Generate statistical reports to monitor use of library resources and services. 6.Oversee cataloging of resources. 7.Investigate technologies to improve access and delivery of digital resources and services. 8.Serve as the library's representative to the College's Office of Information Technology. 9.Provide technical training to library staff as needed. 10.Plan usability studies as needed.
SECONDARYFUNCTIONSINCLUDE: 1.Remain current with respect to library and community college related literature. 2.Participate and assist with special projects as needed. 3.Participate in college governance. 4.Help make the library building a comfortable and inviting environment for teaching and learning. 5.Provide reference assistance and research support for students, faculty, and staff as well as community library users. 6.Provide excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication. 7.Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations. 8.Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources. 9.Perform all other duties as assigned.
