The Corporate Client Banking and Specialized Industries (CCBSI) EMEA team is part of the Commercial Bank (CB) at JPMorgan Chase and focuses solely on EMEA headquartered companies with global operations typically with revenues of over $500mm which require traditional banking services in addition to investment banking products. Our competitive advantage is that we cover this market in a truly unique way - through a partnership between our corporate bankers and investment bankers who together build relationships with our clients and offer customized financial solutions. Our investment bankers bring strategic ideas to clients, which are executed with investment banking products. Our corporate bankers provide commercial banking products and structure loan facilities for our clients. This approach brings together integrated financial services ranging from cash management to raising capital and partners closely with Investment Banking, Corporate Derivatives Marketing, Treasury Services and Asset and Wealth Management, among others.
The CCBSI Know Your Customer (KYC) Organization will be the team supporting client coverage with the fulfillment of Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/ KYC requirements.
The KYC Organization is seeking a KYC Relationship Officer (KRO), reporting to the in-region KYC Manager, who will partner with Bankers and other stakeholders to ensure all client KYC records are compliant with regulatory standards, and will ensure high quality and timely completion of all client-level due diligence requirements at inception and renewal of client relationships. The KRO will work closely with the Front Office and with clients directly as required to help obtain necessary information to fulfill KYC due diligence. The KRO position will be located in Warsaw.
Ensure KYC/AML deliverables are met and hold internal partners accountable
Create quality KYC proﬁles ensuring accuracy, completeness and validity, incorporating multiple risk factors in compliance with global regulatory requirements
Manage client and partner expectations and understanding in a consultative way
Demonstrate ownership of the KYC process at a high level and identify gaps and suggest potential process improvement
Demonstrate ongoing understanding of KYC/AML processes and work through delays and/or inefficiencies
Liaise regularly with the business to conduct workload planning, review status of key client onboarding's and prioritize open requests
Navigate changing regulatory requirements and competing priorities with agility
Manage operational risk effectively through diligent awareness of risks in our processes
Escalate appropriate risk items and drive issues to closure
Manage client risk effectively by supporting the banker in client selection process
Manage renewal cycle of KYC forms with relevant stakeholders
Complete KYC for new-to-bank business under tight timelines
Accountable for timely portfolio management while maintaining quality expectations
Ability to properly identify AML risks and apply AML/KYC policy concepts
Exceptionally proficient in English, both verbal and written fluency is necessary;
KYC/AML/BSA experience (minimum four years; five or more years preferred)
Strong verbal and written communication skills (must be proficient in English)
Strong time management, organizational, planning and follow-up skills, ability to multi-task effectively
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to serve as the face of KYC and provide subject matter expertise to both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to attend critical meetings during US business hours
Travel may be required (less than 25%) to support various EMEA client coverage teams
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in financial services
Working knowledge of risk factors that may impact specific products and industries
Additional language would be a great asset (German, French, Italian, Spanish)
Excellent attention to detail
Strong client focus and ability to partner with various internal groups
Independent, self-motivated with an ability to adapt and be flexible in a team environment
Previous credit training or underwriting experience
Ability to navigate client relationships and product usage
