Negotiate contracts with Managed Care Plans including commercial and government payors (HMO/PPO). In addition, provide contract support assistance for Behavioral Health and Transplant Agreements. Primary focus of activity will be centered on the Philadelphia market with the core hospitals consisting of an academic medical center and childrenï¿½s' hospital. Other key responsibilities include monitoring contract performance and taking action to resolve operational issues. Must work closely with all departments, particularly, the business office, Florida RBO, and the hospitals (Directors of CQI/Patient Services). Finally, needs to support AVP in contract negotiations with key payors.
Position will work on other projects for the AVP of National Accounts in Managed Care that will affect national contracts by:
ï¿½Performing language review and managing financial analysis of managed care contracts
ï¿½Monitoring contract performance and evaluate financial viability
ï¿½Bachelorï¿½s degree in healthcare management, public health, accounting, finance, business, social or behavioral sciences with a Masterï¿½s degree preferred.
ï¿½3-4 years previous managed care experience and 4+ years experience in healthcare is required.
ï¿½Ideal candidate will have demonstrated capacity for results-oriented negotiating in managed care environment or healthcare organization
