The position provides high-level administrative support and project management to Clinical Sciences and advanced Medicine and Ryan Small Animal Veterinary Hospital clinical service support and specific Director leadership team members. The position may also interact with senior administrators, prospects, donors, faculty, alumni, board members, and senior government and corporate executives.
Position provides diversified administrative support to faculty, residents, interns and Ryan hospital staff. Responsible for assisting course organizers in coordinating all phases of Â courses for veterinary students; including, but not limited to, arranging of labs, preparing handouts, exams, grading and course and faculty evaluations. Position is responsible for set-up schedules for student rotations and submit grades. Assists in resident and intern annual applications by maintaining accurate records and setting up appointment with clinical services.Â
Also accountable for purchasing orders using Ben Financial system and the University Procard, setting up travel arrangements, processing reimbursement requests and other duties as assigned.Â

Additionally, this position will support specific members of the leadership team, the Director of Clinical Governance, The Director of Outreach, and the Director of Communications.Â The candidate will provide administrative support to these specific hospital leadership by managing special projects, setting appointments, facilitating communications and various other responsibilities as assigned. The individual will report directly to the Administrative Supervisors in the Office of the Chair. Â
Qualifications HS diploma; some college preferred. 5-7 years progressively responsible experience in office administration and support. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent telephone, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as an integral team player; excellent time management skills; able to multi-task and prioritize with little instruction from supervisor. Must have strong customer service skills and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Must have excellent computer skills (MS office).
