Saint Louis University School of Medicine has a January 3, 2020 opening for a Senior Clinical veterinarian to join a well-established, AAALAC-accredited program. This is a non-tenure research track faculty position. Responsibilities include provision of medical and surgical care to a wide variety of species both ABSL and non-ABSL environments; provision of regulatory and veterinary expertise to researchers via direct consultation, participation on IACUC and/or IBC committees, and review of research protocols; and participation in departmental educational and research training programs. In addition to the service component of this position, the veterinarian will be expected to engage the mission of the University by participating in research/discovery, teaching, and outreach Qualifications: Candidates should have a strong knowledge and/or interest in laboratory animal medicine and facility management. Qualified applicants must have a DVM or equivalent degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary school and a license to practice veterinary medicine in at least one state. ACLAM board certification/eligibility is preferred. Salary and any academic appointment will be commensurate with training and experience.
