The Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University invites applications for appointment as Professor of the Practice of Diplomacy, non-tenure track. The successful candidate will have had a distinguished career in the field of diplomacy, whether in national government or international organizations. Career diplomats with ambassadorial experience or practitioners with equivalent experience and stature are encouraged to apply.
We are open to any functional or regional areas of expertise. The professor of the practice will teach courses in diplomatic practice as well as her/his areas of expertise and will also advise and mentor students pursuing professional careers in diplomacy, international organizations, or non-governmental organizations. Prior teaching experience and a record of publication and research is not required but will be considered a plus.
