Missouri Military Academy is seeking a full-time Middle School Science Instructor for Life/Earth Science and Robotics for second semester of 2019-2020 school year.
The ideal candidate is a licensed teacher with a degree in general science and previous teaching experience in the subject areas. Instructors are responsible for planning lessons, carrying out effective instruction, and evaluation student progress. Applicants must have a sound understanding of best practices in teaching science courses, and conducting related laboratory experiments in 7th-12th grades. A degree in education or related field required. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and parents to maximize performance and problem solving to achieve results. Persons with expertise in multiple academic areas and/or coaching experience are highly desirable. A commitment to the academic and social/emotional growth of students is essential.
Faculty members serve in a wide capacity across the campus including: club sponsorship, participating in student life activities, and as academic advisors. Being able to work collaboratively with fellow faculty members and residential staff is critical for this position. Candidates should familiarize themselves with the challenges and rewards of teaching and working in a boarding school environment.
