The University of Pittsburgh is seeking an Associate Vice Chancellor of Real Estate for Business and Operations.
The Associate Vice Chancellor of Real Estate (AVC) is a senior staff member in the Office of Business and Operations, responsible for providing strategic leadership to the university in all real estate matters. The AVC will provide essential support for the ability of the Senior Vice Chancellor to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to respond quickly to changing priorities, all keys to the success of the Senior Vice Chancellor. The AVC will have familiarity and experience with Pennsylvania real estate, zoning, and land use processes.
The AVC is required to have a Bachelor's Degree and/or 10 Years Experience in Real Estate. The AVC will have familiarity and experience with Pennsylvania real estate, zoning, and land use processes.
Additional Qualifications and Experience:
Senior level experience in structuring the development of large, mixed-use real estate developments.
Demonstrated record of negotiating complex real estate transactions, and other complex/creative financing structures.
Experience overseeing large portfolio of real estate operations.
Proven experience in designing and implementing a strategic real estate plan.
Experience in project conceptualization and development, negotiation, working collaboratively with University counsel, financial analysis of project cash flows, and knowledge of local government planning and zoning issues is essential.
Demonstrated success at managing and leading change in a complex, collaborative organization.
Strong integrity, a high level of energy, excellent oral and written communications skills, and exceptional interpersonal relationship and team-building skills.
Highly collegial, consultative, non-hierarchical management style, ability to develop and sustain collaborative relationships, and demonstrate commitment to cultural diversity and equal opportunity.
Minimum Experience Level Required: 10+ years experience
Work Schedule: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
