The administrative coordinator will provide support to the Student Services department. In collaboration with key constituencies, this position will be responsible for coordinating the logistics of student organizations, event planning, and exam administration. This position will also oversee the workflow of the Dean of Students office, including managing calendars, communications to students and other constituencies, document storage and retrieval, maintenance of supplies, and other duties as assigned. In addition, this position will serve as the first point of contact for students who seek assistance from the student services office by phone, email or in person.
Qualifications: Associate degree required (bachelor’s degree preferred); 3-5 years administrative experience (may consider combination of education and experience); proficiency in MS office applications and office technologies; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and continually reevaluate priorities; strong initiative, team skills and behaviors; detail oriented; ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solve; and exceptional organizational, customer service, time management and communication skills. Candidate must be able to work occasional evening and weekend hours. Higher education, student affairs, event planning and/or hospitality experience preferred.
