The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) seeks applications for a full time tenure-track faculty member. In order to be considered for this position, a candidate must have a doctoral degree in electrical or computer engineering, or related discipline, and must have a strong dedication to undergraduate education. A candidate must possess a broad professional background in order to support and expand a wide variety of departmental foundation courses and sub-disciplinary elective offerings in computer engineering. Experience in machine learning, embedded systems, or robotics is preferred. The appointment will begin August 1, 2020.
