The nursing department at Mount Saint Mary's University is seeking two full-time instructors/assistant professors who will teach in the Associate Degree in Nursing Program and/or in the RN to BSN Completion program. Teaching will be required in at least one content area. The position includes teaching in the classroom and in clinical settings, advisement responsibilities, and participation in department and university governance. The start date is as soon as possible. The positions will require days, evenings, and weekend availability.
1. A master's degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university. 2. An earned doctoral degree from a regionally accredited college or university is preferred. 3. A clear and current California Registered Nurse license or eligibility for licensure 4. For the ADN Program, one-year's full-time experience as a registered nurse within the last 5 years or a current BRN certificate to teach that specialty in a hospital setting. 5. Commitment to the mission of the University and the philosophy of the nursing department. 6. A proven track record of excellent teamwork, organization, and leadership skills. 7. Clinical and /or classroom teaching experience is preferred.
