Rehabilitation Technology Program
POSITION : Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor, Non-Tenure Stream, Full-Time (12-Month) faculty member within the Department of Rehabilitation Science & Technology, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Pittsburgh.

STARTING DATE: Immediate or until position is filled
The Department of Rehabilitation Science & Technology at the University of Pittsburgh is currently seeking an full-time 12-month non-tenure stream faculty member who is committed to excellence in the management and delivery of high quality continuing education, teaching, research, and clinical service in the field of assistive and rehabilitation technology.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide visionary leadership and administration of the Continuing Education Program in
Rehabilitation Science & Technology.
Provide leadership in the development and refinement of Continuing Education programs including consideration of innovative and accessible models of education (i.e.
in-person symposia and workshops, online learning, certificate programs).
Oversee marketing, recruitment, student success, and program outcomes.
Promote productive and collaborative relationships with internal and external partners (i.e. clinical, organizations, industry, government, and research) locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Assist with planning and deployment of the International Seating Symposium (ISS) held every other year and assist with deployment of other similar national and international conferences.
Investigate, develop, plan, and deploy novel continuing education programs in the field of Rehabilitation Technology including Orthotics & Prosthetics.
Assist with the development and implementation of an online Master of Rehabilitation Technology curriculum including Certificate programs.
Participate in teaching in the Rehabilitation Technology graduate program as well as be involved in ongoing curriculum implementation and evaluation.
Advise and mentor graduate students and serve on thesis and scholarly paper committees.
Engage in clinical service delivery at the UPMC Center for Assistive Technology.
Engage in scholarly and research opportunities provided through the department and outside collaborators.
Participate in departmental, school, university, professional service and scholarly activity.
Doctoral degree in Occupational or Physical Therapy (OTD or DPT) or doctoral degree in a rehabilitation field with emphasis on Assistive & Rehabilitation Technology.
Current or eligible for Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Licensure in respective profession.
Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) board certification from the Rehabilitation Engineering & Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA).
Minimum two-years worl< experience in the provision of clinical service in the field of Assistive & Rehabilitation Technology.
Demonstrated competency in the delivery of Continuing Education presentations at national and international conferences.
Demonstrated competency in course development and teaching excellence.
Some experience in the deployment of research projects related to the field of Assistive
& Rehabilitation Technology.
Demonstrated leadership ability in higher education or other training/servce environment.
