The Photonics Technology branch of the Optical Sciences division engages in research and system development of optical technologies that will support the Navy and the Marine corps. The work performed in the branch ranges from basic research to the development of prototype systems for use in applications such as fiber optics communications, microwave photonics, optical processing, and free space optical communications.
The Advanced Systems group is currently looking for engineers and scientists to help develop fiber optic systems, design electronics for custom electro-optic systems, perform laboratory research, and participate in prototype development.
Full time entry level: BS through PhD
The applicant should be a US citizen capable of obtaining a Secret Clearance and a have a degree in Engineering, Physics, or other applied science. Experience with circuit design, computer programming and simulation, or working in a laboratory are desired.
