Program Manager, Business for a Better World Center
The George Mason University, School of Business, invites applications for the position of Program Manager, Business for a Better World. This position will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operational aspects of the Business for a Better World Center for the School of Business.

The Program Manager, Business for a Better World has responsibilities in the following areas:
Gather and assemble information on current Center and related activities so the program is well positioned to move forward strategically;
Manage substantial aspects of program operations including scheduling, facilities and equipment, catering, and preparation of any necessary materials, certificates, or evaluations;
Manage customer relations and address requests for information, program support, and program modifications of a non-academic nature;
Support the Center leadership team in program design and delivery;
Responsible for timely and accurate invoicing and budget management;
Primary point of contact for the Center leadership team; and
Support metrics measurement and reporting.
Provide high-level support to the Center in the School of Business managing the planning, communications, and operations for the unit-wide initiative;
Screen calls, visitors, and inquiries. Schedule appointments and maintain accompanying electronic calendar;
Prepare reports, correspondence, and other written materials for Center leadership team;
Supervise graduate and undergraduate students;
Oversee, edit and write for the Newsletter;
Process work and supply orders;
Manage donor and friends of Mason relationships; and
Maintain daily and annual schedule of activities for all aspects of the program.
Marketing and Communications:
Assist the Center leadership team with website and social media as follows: develop and maintain constant communication with School of Business staff through social media and emails; Develop and update program content on the web and social media channels; Collaborate with the school's marketing team to promote relevant events to both internal and external communities and
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions.
Assist in writing program promotional materials. Edit brochures and ad copy. Contact various promotional organizations to coordinate advertisements in print and web-based media;
Publicize promotional material and other communications to prospective students, faculty, and external stakeholders; and
Plan and organize events as required.
Manage and execute special projects as assigned by the CENTER leadership team.
Bachelor's degree in education administration, marketing, public relations, communication, journalism, sustainable development, or a related field and/or equivalent level of education and experience;
Events Management experience;
Must have a polished professional demeanor and the ability to interact with high-level academic and administrative officials, as well as corporate and government high-level executives;
Experience interacting and negotiating with event venues; and
Experience managing a budget and procuring goods and services.
Proficient in Spanish (Intermediate level or above);
Social media savvy;
Experience with George Mason's internal programs and procedures; and
Experience working in higher education or government agencies.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
