Essential Functions: Initiate, maintain, and submit Human Investigation Committee (HIC) IRB amendments, continuations, and key personnel changes with respect to the WSU Biobank.Create and maintain all standard operating procedure for the biobank with respect to sample acquisition, accessioning, deaccessioning and processing. Design and maintain biobank data collection forms relevant to samples collected.Train staff in different department to collect samples for the WSU Biobank.Enter and create all biobank protocols in Oncore BSM database. Manage the sample requisition process ensuring regulatory/ SOP compliance for incoming WSU Biobank samples and Biospecimen repository sample request.Convene Governance Board and ensure availability of community members for the Governance board.Ensure WSU Biobank Director is informed of all meeting and study inquires. Be available 24/7 to monitor and respond to freezers incursions using smartvue technology ensuring Specimen quality assurance/viability.Create and distribute sample collection tools and kits for multiple studies.Retrieve and distribute samples approved by HIC
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a science or health care field.Excellent command of the English language, familiar with scientific and medical terminology. Excellent writing skills.Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.Proficient in sample processing, minimum 8 years' experience. Proficient in OnCore CRM and BSM modules, minimum of 5 years' experience. Proficient in SOP creation and maintenance, minimum of 2 years' experience. Knowledgeable in biobank specimen management with a minimum of 4 years' experience. Regulatory and IRB experience required.
