Job Description Description: The Associate Director, under general direction, manages overall operations of assigned areas including flight operations, flight test planning and execution, and flight crew safety and standardizations programs. Directs the department in absence of the Director. Guides business development, monitors financial performance, and ensures that business processes comply with federal, state, and local regulations and requirements.
Provide leadership and manage overall operations of the center's flight operations, safety, and standardizations programs
Direct the department in absence of the Director. Supervise assigned staff.
Lead development and implementation of flight mission and Unmanned Aircraft Systems testing programs.
Serve as project manager for selected testing activities and operations.
Lead short- and long-term strategic planning and monitor plan execution and performance.
Develop and oversee marketing strategies for service-based projects.
Implement, monitor, review and revise department policies and standing operating procedures.
Assist Director with budget development.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Eight (8) years of progressively responsible management, administrative, or operational experience, to include at least five (5) years of supervisory experience.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated leadership skills.
Three (3) years' experience leading and executing UAS operations.
Program management certified.
Airline, commercial, or military equivalent pilot experience and experience in managing a flight crew standardizations program.
