ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Ochre Court Receptionist, serving as the first point of contact with the University for many visitors, will provide a warm, welcoming, and professional first impression for all visitors. This position will have primary responsibilities including:
Greet all students, faculty, staff, and University visitors as they enter Ochre Court, the University's main administration building
Provide direction to visitors having business with administrative offices in the building
Announce visitors by phone to Office of the President, University Relations, Business Office, Purchasing Office, and Enrollment Management
Provide office/phone coverage in the absence of the Admission Receptionist
Provide direction to visitors seeking other offices on campus
Answer basic questions about Salve Regina University
Answer questions about the history of Ochre Court to tourists who visit the building
Monitor the Ochre Court main hall for misuse
Water plants in Ochre Court main hall
Re-stock hand out materials in Ochre Court main hall
Keep a record of volume of daily visitors to Ochre Court
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The receptionist may be assigned additional clerical tasks including, but not limited to, data entry, stuffing information packets, collating, and labeling.
LICENSES, TOOLS, and EQUIPMENT:
The receptionist will need to be fluent in the basics of Microsoft Office, particularly usage of the internet to access online University resources to find information to assist visitors.
A high school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of customer service experience is required with receptionist experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communications, organizational and interpersonal skills are required with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A pleasant and welcoming demeanor combined with a commitment to providing superior customer service is essential.
