REPORTS TO: Director, Benefit Design & HRIS Administration

JOB SUMMARY:

The Benefits & HRIS Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of benefit related programs and activities and Banner Human Resources Information System. The Benefits & HRIS Administrator is involved in Human Resource policies and procedures and benefit programs that are vital to the operational efficiency of the Department of Human Resources and dissemination of information to all levels of employees within the University Community.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Benefit Administration:

• Maintain and administer company-wide health and welfare benefit programs, including health, life insurance, disability, and 403(b) plans.

• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to eligibility, enrollment, claims escalation, insurance coverage, and general queries.

• Participate in open enrollment activities including assist in the development of benefit communication, responding to employee inquiries and enrollment support.

• Work closely with internal and external contacts (i.e. Payroll, Finance, Enrollment Systems, Carriers, Government) to ensure efficient and effective operation and compliance of University benefit programs.

• Participate in benefit audits as needed. HRIS Administration:

• Maintains the accuracy of the HRIS via audits and system corrections, table updates and resolution of configuration issues.

• Works with end-users to update information as required and provide required training.

• Maximizes the use of the HRIS system by being fully knowledgeable on its capabilities and relaying those capabilities to management.

• Maintains test scripts and conducts periodic testing for system upgrades.

• Designs, develops and maintains reports (standard and ad hoc) for end users (internal team as well as university-wide).
