The Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences at Gannon University is seeking a Director of Clinical Education for its accredited Respiratory Care Program. This position is a 12-month, teaching track position and is available to begin immediately. The successful candidate will provide clinical direction for the program in accordance with fulfilling the requirements for accreditation, assist with program planning and curriculum development, and provide didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction. Additional responsibilities include working collaboratively with colleagues, advising students, and engaging in University, professional, and community service.
Qualified candidates are required to have an earned master’s degree in respiratory care or related field (e.g. healthcare administration, health science, health communication, education, leadership); a valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; current licensure in Pennsylvania (PA) or the eligibility to receive licensure in PA; a minimum of four years’ experience as an RRT with at least two years in clinical respiratory care; and a minimum of two years’ experience teaching in an accredited respiratory care program as a clinical preceptor or as a full-time faculty member. Candidates with a reputation of achievement in education, demonstrated leadership in respiratory care, active participation in relevant professional associations, and at least one specialized credential (NPS, ACCS, SDS, or other) are preferred. Candidates must be able to support and promote the University’s inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.
