The National Community Reinvestment Coalition is seeking a Special Assistant to work with the President and Founder. This professional will work closely with donors, government and industry leaders, the NCRC Board, CEO, Senior Staff and other key constituents to advance the work of the Coalition.
The Special Assistant will:
Manage the daily work of the President and Founder. He/she should have a clear understanding of the key projects within the President’s purview and the broader organizational priorities and represent the President’s positions within the organization when needed.
Ensure successful operations of the Office the President. Cultivate a strategic business partnership with C-Suite executive who works from DC, Boston, New York, and travels on NCRC business at least 50% of the time.
Support President’s work with the NCRC Board of Directors and key committees.
Support President’s fundraising efforts and foster investor relationships; work with Director of Development when needed.
Develop top quality written materials that reflect the President’s vision and voice including funding proposals, strategic materials, Board reports, meeting minutes, speeches, articles, policy papers and other communications.
Provide project management support for three key initiatives:
Fair Shake – pilot program aimed at disrupting the national conversation on race and wealth in America;
Capital Markets Initiative – new business creating financial products that increase quality lending to low to moderate income communities and business owners;
GROWTH – program designed to create pathways to homeownership for low to moderate income individuals and families while improving property values in these communities.
Provide executive-level support:
Manage complex calendar and travel schedule;
Manage travel arrangements, schedule meetings, develop detailed agendas and itineraries, coordinate meeting logistics, and track meeting actions and outcomes;
Process invoices, reconcile credit card statements and submit expense reports;
Perform research and literature reviews; and
Work closely with Special Assistant to the CEO and other administrative staff.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
10+ years of C-suite executive support experience
Interest in learning about NCRC’s mission of economic fairness and ability to make connections and identify potential opportunities for the Coalition
Ability to work independently with limited supervision and instruction
Must be able to prioritize, demonstrate poise and tact under pressure, and use sound judgment
Must have confident demeanor and excellent rapport when interacting with all levels of staff
Must be able to handle confidential information with tact and discretion at all times
Excellent oral and written communication skills to include editing and proofreading are a must
Possess high level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in modern workforce technology and work-related mobile applications including MS Office Suite.
Technologically savvy to do work in an efficient and effective manner.
Always portray a positive and professional image of the President and Founder’s office and NCRC.
