ASSOCIATE DEAN, PUBLIC HEALTH PRACTICE, School of Public Health

The BU School of Public Health (SPH) is looking for a self-motivated, Associate Dean for Practice (ADP). They will be responsible for the oversight of all practice-related activities at the School of Public Health. The ADP will lead the school-wide Activist Lab. They will serve as part of the school's leadership team, serving as a member of the Dean's Cabinet and the Governing Council. The ADP chairs the school's permanent practice committee. They shall serve to catalyze and encourage practice-related work locally and globally among all members of the school's community, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends. In their role as Director of the Activist Lab, the ADP is responsible for developing and obtaining funding to launch projects that enhance the school's practice portfolio. As a member of the leadership team, the ADP provides strategic vision and leadership around SPH's practice initiatives and also around all aspects of the school's efforts to realize its vision and aspirations. The ADP is expected to engage in the school's teaching mission, both through formal classroom pedagogy and through mentoring of students interested in the school's practice mission. The ADP reports directly to the Dean of the School of Public Health.

Master's degree required. Over 8 years of work experience required, doctoral degree preferred.
