The College of Education is recruiting for an Assistant Professor tenure track position in the Department of Counselor Education, to commence fall term 2020 (9/16/20). For more information please CLICK HERE

The faculty member will provide instruction and advising to students in the COE's Counselor Education department, engage in research and other scholarly activities, and participate in professional service and university service/governance.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Earned doctorate in Counselor Education or equivalent field.
- Experience in teaching CACREP courses.
- Potential for developing a robust scholarly agenda.
- Identification with and preparation in School Counseling.
- Experience and/or interest to teach School Counseling specialty courses such as Parents Families and Communities in Schools, and Counseling Individuals with Diverse Needs; as well as CACREP Core courses such as Developmental Foundations in Counseling, Career and Lifestyle Planning, Tests and Assessments in Counseling, Practicum, Internship, etc.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Strong identity as a researcher in the counseling profession.
- Capacity to advise diverse students in the School Counseling program.
- Experience supervising Practicum at an on-campus counseling clinic, or equivalent.
- Eligibility for Oregon Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
- Eligibility for licensure as a school counselor.
- Demonstrable experience working with communities of color and other marginalized populations.
