This is a Mechanical Engineering Level 4 position. This person will participate as a member of a cross functional Engineering team which support products for use in industrial environments. This involves supporting mechanical switches or the design of sealed enclosures containing various electronic, mechanical, or optical devices such as mechanical limit switches, optical/inductive sensors, and safety products.
Must be capable of defining and supervising engineering tests to qualify designs.
Needs to provide the necessary "hands-on" expertise to resolve complex, cross-functional issues regarding product functionality, assembly methods and product qualification while meeting aggressive product cost targets and schedules.
Must have good interpersonal skills and work well within a team environment. Prior project and mentoring experience is a plus.
Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network.
