THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY Responsibilities The Patient Estimate Analyst (Payroll Title Patient Billing and Collections 4) is responsible for handling all aspects of the preservice estimating of patient financial liability, communicating with patients, clinical staff and pre-service collections. Provides advanced complex analysis and research on billing issues. Required Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle and its component operations, including billing, collections, charge capture, contractual adjustments, third-party reimbursements, government programs, contracted private insurance and cash management
Extensive knowledge of eligibility, authorization and benefit verification
Advanced experience analyzing a variety of factors regarding eligibility, third party payors, authorization and benefit limits to determine the need for further facts or administrative consultation
Experience assessing account balances and making decisions on further action needed
Advanced knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and International Classification of Disease (ICD-10) policies related to medical billing
Knowledge of HIPAA, FDCPA and other credit and collections rules and regulations
Proven ability to work with managers, serving as a technical resource, providing recommendations and advice
Ability to comprehend and navigate through the complexities of the Epic Systems to be able to retrieve, change and adjust account information and create estimates
Call center experience
