Responsible for the development and leadership of the Center of Excellence team, which support the Procurement activities at Yale.Responsible for identifying and driving high-impact opportunities to improve, promote, develop, and implement procurement processes, operational planning, governance, systems, training programs, and reporting capabilities which optimize financial and operational excellence.Supports and maintains the tools and processes for the procurement systems, cost modeling, master data, spend analytics and savings reporting including overseeing the Analytics Manager.Maintains, updates and trains the community on all Procure-to-Pay policies, procedures and forms used to ensure the Yale community is compliant with federal and state regulations as well as ensure that the Procure-to-Pay policies support the Yale mission.Provides research and analytical support to Category and Sourcing groups.Maintains and updates University Preferred Supplier listOversees the Procurement Contract Manager including the development of contract templates and contracting practices across Yale.Oversees the PCard Program ManagerWorks with Partners (Legal, Risk, OSP) and stakeholders to drive synergies and improve overall performance of the Procurement functionResponsible for Procurement CoE, recruiting, development, and performance appraisal of staff.Ensures establishment of and compliance to University standards to support Procurement contract management, spend analytics and reporting, and procurement training and development.Serves as the central point of contact for procurement foundational support, or center of excellence, across all procurement professionals within the Procurement team and across Yale.Responsible for establishing and monitoring key supplier relationship management program. Preferred Education: 5+ years of managerial experience. Prior transformation work experience desired. Master's degree or equivalent desired. Required Skill/ability 5: Recognition inside and outside of Yale for depth and breadth of procurement knowledge. Posting Position Title: Director of Procurement Operations Required Skill/ability 3: Strong executive presence, demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills with ability to build effective relationships and influence peers and key stakeholders. Strong PM skills with ability to plan tasks, assign resources, manage progress, remove barriers, manage change, resolve conflict, build consensus, and motivate team across multiple projects concurrently. Work Week: Standard (M-F equal number of hours per day) University Job Title: Director of Procurement Operations Required Skill/ability 1: Passion for innovation and improvement for organization systems and procedures. Demonstrated awareness of operating trends and leading practices. Strategically oriented, inquisitive and comfortable with ambiguity.
