The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (The NYSPCC) seeks a Director of Finance and Operations (DFO), who will be responsible for managing finance, IT operations, accounting, archives, and facilities. S/he will report to the Executive Director and have three direct reports including the Accounting Coordinator, the Security and Operations Coordinator and the Archivist. S/he will be responsible for the physical plant and work closely with the Operations and Security Coordinator. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the Treasurer, the Chairman of the Board (including the Finance, Retirement and Benefits, Audit, and Real Estate Committees), and external financial managers and auditors. Working with external retirement plan providers, s/he will manage the administration of The NYSPCC's retirement plans.

The successful candidate will coordinate claims, develop and maintain budgets, and other activities relating to government contracts in conjunction with the Research Department. The ideal candidate will act as the liaison with professional vendors, legal counsel, investment advisor, auditors, and IT consultants. This position is a member of the Senior Management Team.
