Our S&S Manager is the safety and security representative for guests, members and employees across all entities and locations within Shore Lodge, Whitetail. The successful manager consistently seeks to keep the company’s best interests regarding safety, security and loss prevention top of mind. Holding responsibilities for administrative duties related to the department, ie- scheduling, purchase orders, monitoring and approving payroll, review of all shift notes to determine action(s) required, etc. Patrolling, monitoring established safety and security systems, assessing and solving problems related to guests, members and employees, as well as notification and detailed documentation of all activities that occur on Shore Lodge and Whitetail properties. Responding to emergencies and non-emergencies providing assistance in a quick and professional manner, making recommendations based on the situation. STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS: Frequent weekend and holiday work. Typical work hours would be; day shifts 8a – 5p, swing shifts 5p-midnight and grave shifts from 11pm-7am. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Patrol all areas of Shore Lodge and Whitetail Club noting unusual circumstances or safety violations.
- Possess an understanding of all areas, landmarks, street names, etc. on all company properties
- Document, track and report safety hazards and violations on resort property and violations of company policy.
- Escort suspicious persons of concern off property if warranted.
- Assist in any emergency situations and/or evacuations.
- Will train on knowledge of the local area, hotel, and resort amenities.
- Provide excellent customer service to Guests, Members, and fellow employees.
- Adhere to Company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Possess a thorough understanding of Safety Management Systems, Security policies, operations and company policies.
- Maintain a complete understanding of the Whitetail Club Access Control System, will train for the knowledge and skills to operate and program the Linear, Exacqvision and Liftmaster computer programs, and knowledge of the gate operator mechanical systems.
- Understand the company video surveillance system to include operation, video review, troubleshooting challenges and repair or order repair components.
- Develop and present safety and security trainings throughout the various company departments and new employee orientations.
- Onboard and train Safety and Security Agent I-II, and Safety & Security Transportation Agent I- II.
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot the Whitetail Access Control System; to include the programming of access codes, minor troubleshooting of the mechanical gate operator, along with all access point video systems and capabilities.
- Assist Members, Employees and Guests with safety questions, concerns or needs in a timely manner.
- Maintain complete knowledge of the Access Control Guidelines.
- Assist team members with the Safety Management System protocol, to include policies, procedures, guidelines and completion and submission of forms with required data.
- Maintain current budget and utilize Birchstreet PO System to accurately create and track PO’s for the Safety & Security Transportation department.
- Control any emergency or pop-up situations calmly and professionally using the company’s policies and guidelines-Fire alarms, all theft, assault, injuries, etc. Understanding the company’s expectations for contacting local law enforcement and the necessity for FYI communication and to whom the communications should be received during a situation.
- Audit and approve all payroll records for accuracy.
- Attend company meetings as necessary and provide weekly review of items that require departmental and management attention.
- Determine importance and respond with the appropriate action required- immediate or delayed, and follow through.
- Assess the general condition of the fleet vehicles and make recommendations for capital purchases. Work with the agent to set budget expectations for the month and to plan a monthly services and repairs.
- Create, track and submit weekly status reports to the Director of Facilities.
- Participate in the annual budget process for review and approval to include staffing, Safety & Security items, transportation costs, etc.
- Investigate and document claims of injury, theft, illegal activity, vehicle or property damage and report those findings to the appropriate Management Team member(s).
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Facilities.
