Budget Title: Staff Assistant (SL-2)
Binghamton University invites applications for the position of Campus Activities Program Coordinator. The successful applicant will join the team of the Office of the Dean of Students in a diverse, dynamic, high-energy environment to accomplish the department's mission of providing student centered programs and services through collaboration with students, faculty, and other professionals.
The Program Coordinator will:
Advance the stated mission of the Campus Activities area in all programming endeavors, focusing on the continued development and expansion of the Late Nite Binghamton program.
Supervise several graduate assistants and student staff to ensure appropriate planning, implementation, and evaluation of all components of the Late Nite Binghamton Program. Conduct regular needs assessments of the student community to make on-going program improvements.
Work with students and colleagues to further enhance after-hours programming at Binghamton University consistent with University mission and goals. Develop outcomes assessment and measures to determine if the program is meeting the stated objectives.
Effectively manage budgets within established guidelines for SUNY finances as well as appropriate use of the campus life fee.
Assist with Campus Activities and University Union Programming and Operations. Effectively manage spaces as needed.
Participate in professional development activities that enhance student learning, understanding of the field, application of student development concepts, and developments in the area of student programming.
Frequent late night and weekend work
Strong knowledge of safety, logistics, and contracts in student programming
Master's degree in Student Personnel or related field
