Office of the Provost: Director of Academic Personnel Services to provide administrative management of the academic appointment and reappointment processes for faculty, graduate assistants and unclassified staff in Academic Affairs; oversee the processes to request personnel changes, salary/title adjustments, leaves of absence; oversee annual increment process efficiently while adhering to University policies; maintain, enhance and implement protocols for searches and onboarding of faculty and staff to include monitoring immigration matters and visa sponsorships; collaborate with other functional University offices and serve as a resource regarding University policies and procedures; communicate to faculty, staff and supervisors in Academic Affairs regarding policies, compliance matters and procedures affecting personnel issues; ensure adherence to local/state and federal labor laws and University policies; manage and supervise hourly and salaried staff; other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree and eight years of professional experience in a directly related field
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external constituents
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet strict deadlines in a high-volume, multi-tasking environment
Ability to work well under pressure and in delicate situations
Ability to build and maintain relationships while maintaining highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism and quality service to constituents
Master’s degree in human resources or business administration
Knowledge of faculty and university policies and procedures
Knowledge of structure and practices of departments in Academic Affairs
