Individual will have responsibility for managing all administrative aspects of the UCI BSL- 3 training program. This includes scheduling and posting training program courses, processing student registrations and fee payments, preparing course materials, ordering all supplies for courses, managing resources for instructors, maintaining program databases and developing marketing materials. The individual will also participate as an instructor for various course presentations, assist in course development and ensuring the program meets minimum training requirements set out in the latest UC, state and federal guidelines. Candidate should have experience in: managing administrative responsibilities, delivering practical biosafety training to laboratory workers, biosafety professionals and facilities management personnel. UCI operates a national training program for all personnel categories involved with high-containment laboratories otherwise known as Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) laboratories. The BSL-3 training program is a University of California Center of Excellence (CoE) and provides training for the UC system-wide as well as for other major universities, government agencies and the corporate sector.
