This role provides leadership and support to the senior executiveposition (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient carefunctions/services within the hospital organization.
The role will assume responsibility for assisting in assessing, planning,coordinating, implementing and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unitlevel.
Role assumes 24/7 responsibility of Director�s assigned areas.
The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe andappropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriateresource management related to patient care.

Ability to serve as role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing
Academic degree in nursing: Bachelor�s required
Minimum 2-3 years managerial experience required. Minimum of5+ years in Women�s Services required, to include experience as a Labor & Delivery Staff RN.
Knowledge and experience in providing safe,proficient, quality nursing care.
Excellent problem solving, listening and language skills.
Must be fluent in spoken and written English with proficientwriting skills. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary tocommunicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Strong computer skills and proficient in computer applicationssuch as MS Office, Optilink Staffing and Scheduling, Medhost/Cerner E.H.R.,Kronos.
Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practiceprofession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy.
Healthcare Provider BLS, and Neonatal ResuscitationCertification.
ActiveCalifornia RN license.
