USCÂ Credit Union, dynamic $570 million credit union located steps from USCâs University Park campus near Downtown Los Angeles, is looking for an experienced Operations Support Specialist.Â This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for supporting members and all departments by processing account transactions, managing member accounts, subpoenas, levies, researching member and bank inquiries and wire transfers. The Operations Support Specialist gathers and analyzes member data at the time of each interaction to respond to inquiries and offer customized solutions using in-depth knowledge ofÂ USCCUÂ products, services and technologies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for setting up and auditing IRA accounts and handling government requests such as levies, search warrants and subpoena
Ensures documentation is in order for all responsible areas and process deposits daily.
Wire processing for members and internal departments and reconcile multiple general ledger accounts.
Process stop payments disputes for ACH, drafts and cards
Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures as they relate to USCCUâs products and services
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.Â The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
The ideal candidate will:
Possess a Bachelorâs degree
Have a minimum of two-year experience in financial institution with operation services
Be knowledgeable in Bank Secrecy Act,Â OFAC, US Patriot Act, Regulation CC and funds availability,Â GLBÂ and Member Financial Privacy,Â NCUSIF, and Truth in Savings
Be flexible with scheduling that may include occasional Saturday hours and weekday afternoon/evening hours
Possess a high sense of urgency, attention to detail, initiative and integrity
Have exceptional interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
Pass a pre-employment background and credit check

Minimum Education: Associate's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum educationMinimum Experience: 2 yearsMinimum Field of Expertise: Customer or financial services experience. Strong knowledge of banking regulations including Regulation E, NACHA rules, Bank Wire Transaction Requirements, Red Flag/ID Theft requirements, US Patriot Act, and IRAs.
