Teach courses in Environmental History, Post-Civil War American History, and Non-European World History. The incumbent would be expected to teach courses that would include, but are not limited to World History II survey (1500 to present), the US History I survey and/or the US History II survey (divided at 1877), a survey in Environmental History, and a range of upper-division world history courses. The normal teaching load is four, 3-credit undergraduate courses (three or four preparations) per semester. Summer-school teaching is possible. The successful candidate will also be able to offer both graduate-level readings courses and survey-level undergraduate courses via online delivery. As part of the Department of Humanities, the History program is small (three full-time positions), offering a major and many liberal education courses, so the ability and willingness to teach a range of lower and upper division courses covering both world and US history is important.
