Provide support to programmatic efforts in all areas of OSU Extension. Plan, coordinate, and implement assigned programs and assist with aspects of other programs that may include registration tracking, and class set up and/or breakdown; work closely with Medina County Extension Educators and support staff to meet the needs of clientele; programs to be primarily supported by the Program Assistant include, but are not limited to, Cloverbud Day Camp, 4-H CARTEENS, Ag Day, Government Academy. and STEM; interface with and directly assist program participants, volunteers, and office clientele; assist with promotion of Extension programming to external stakeholders; assist in preparing and organizing program materials, press releases, brochures, newsletters, and other correspondence; provide program assistance and scheduling support; facilitate program registration and evaluation process by organizing and collecting registration and completed surveys; provide exemplary customer service to program registrants, attendees, and clientele; provide hard copy and electronic document development, editing, and distribution; provide support for Real Money Real World and the Government Academy; provide support to pre-fair judging at the Medina County Fair; provide support during fair week to include, but not limited to, Extension promotion through an all-Extension booth, maintain a well-focused and highly driven, people-oriented, community-minded attitude while achieving a high level of visibility to facilitate open communication with all internal and external clientele; accomplish educational goals to reach target audiences at program sites that are accessible to clientele; support OSU Extension’s delivery and EEO/AA commitments.

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience working with the public, preferably in an educational setting; experience operating general office equipment such as computers and copiers; ability to work flexible hours in order to provide educational programming at the convenience of clientele.
Experience with educational program development, evaluation, and working with youth to promote positive behavioral outcomes.
Target Salary: $13.00 - $15.00 Hourly
