Our successful Security & Safety Manager leads by example, having strong personal ethics and providing consistent fairness to all persons in all situations. Our manager is the safety and security representative for owners, guests, vendors, and employees of our 570 unit condo building. The successful manager consistently seeks to keep the Association’s best interests regarding safety, security, and loss prevention top of mind. The manager has responsibilities for administrative duties related to the department, such as scheduling, monitoring and approving payroll, and review of all shift reports to determine required actions. Patrolling, monitoring established safety, security and courtesy systems, assessing and solving problems related to guests and owners as well as notification and detailed documentation of all activities that occur on our property. The manager responds to emergencies and non-emergencies, providing assistance quickly and professionally, and making recommendations based on the situation. Interacting with local law enforcement, emergency medical technicians, and firefighters is required.
Frequent weekend and holiday work, especially from March to October. The resort operates on a three-shift system, 24 hours a day.
Develop and present safety, security and courtesy training throughout the resort departments and new employee orientations.
Provide excellent customer service to Guests, Owners, and fellow employees.
Possess a thorough understanding of Safety Management Systems and adhere to security policies, operations, and resort policies.
Patrol all areas and noting unusual circumstances, maintenance issues, security, and safety violations.
Monitor vehicular traffic.
Document, track, resolve and report safety hazards and violations.
Assist in any emergency situations and evacuations.
Maintain a complete understanding of the Resort Access Control System and ensure owner and guest compliance.
Management of video surveillance system to include operation, video review, troubleshooting challenges, and protection of evidence.
Maintain knowledge, operate, maintain, and help troubleshoot the resort’s Access Control System.
Assist Owners, Employees, and Guests with safety questions, concerns, or needs promptly.
Maintain complete knowledge and compliance of the Access Control Guidelines.
Assist team members with the Safety Management System protocol, to include policies, procedures, guidelines, and completion and submission of forms with required data.
Control any emergency or pop-up situations calmly and professionally using the resort’s policies and guidelines-Fire alarms, all theft, assault, and injuries, among others.
Understanding the company’s expectations for contacting local law enforcement and the necessity for communication during a situation.
Audit and approve all payroll records for accuracy.
Attend management and all team member meetings as necessary and provide a weekly review of items that require departmental and management attention.
Determine the importance and respond with the appropriate action required- immediate or delayed, and follow-through.
Create, track, and submit weekly status reports to the Association manager.
Investigate and document claims of injury, theft, illegal activity, vehicle or property damage, and report those findings to the appropriate Management Team member(s).
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Association manager.
Five years of prior Safety and Security Experience is required
Strong proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications
Ability to multitask while retaining a high level of detail
Consistent presentation of superior customer service skills
Maintain a high level of self-motivation and discipline
Ability to communicate effectively with and receive information from guests, owners, and coworkers
Have and maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and comprehensive background check
Preference is given to candidates with previous Security, Law enforcement, Military background
Additional Salary Information: Employer pays 90% of employee's healthcare
