Compensation: Starting at $5,578.92 per month (range 24, step 1).
Benefits: A full benefits package which includes employer-paid medical, dental, and vision plans for employee and dependents; $100,000 employee life insurance; other optional coverages; and membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS).
Position Details: One regular, full-time, grant funded position, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year, on the Oceanside campus. This position is currently funded through June 2022. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon availability of funding and satisfactory performance in accordance with district standards. The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The person selected for this position will be subject to assignment to any district facility during any hours of operation.
Basic Function: Under the direction of the Dean of Research, Planning, and Institutional Effectiveness (RPIE) provides administrative support to the dean and the RPIE department. Maintains timelines for office projects; maintains data files of confidential material; reviews for accuracy, prepares and distributes all reports and materials produced by the RPIE office; maintains and updates all information on the media sites and software platforms for which RPIE has responsibility; assists with scheduling and supporting activities associated with accreditation and other campus-wide initiatives, assists in arranging staff travel; and provides support for MiraCosta College governance committees as needed.
Education & Experience: Graduation from an associate degree program and at least three years of progressively responsible administrative support experience, at least one of which was supporting a department head or higher; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A bachelors degree is preferred.
