University Enabling Technology Services division of the Office of Information Technologies is currently seeking a junior Identity engineer to become a key contributor to our team. As a member of the team you will help develop, implement, and maintain integrations with Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems, including Okta, Active Directory (AD), and Azure Active Directory. The IAM engineer will assist in implementing security controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the IT assets of the University of Notre Dame. This position will be responsible for the lifecycle governance processes around Okta, Active Directory and Azure AD objects, including user accounts and group management. Serve as front line support for the IAM team
Analyze and Debug:
Active Directory, GPOs, Kerberos
Active Directory Federated Services, MS Azure
MS NPS and wireless authentication
Okta and other authentication and authorization systems
Assist in development of SCIM connectors for service provisioning
Act as a member of the Identity and Access Management team in providing timely and efficient support to assigned operations
Follow and apply configuration and security standards and policies within a defined Change Management process
Write scripts to automate management of Azure, AD, and Okta connectors/agents
Provide after hours and on-call support as part of a rotation
Minimum Qualifications: Qualifications
2+ years experience in a technical field
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
Excellent practical judgment. You should know how to effectively allocate your time when solving hard problems.
Solid PowerShell scripting skills
Experience with authentication and authorization technologies (Active Directory, OAuth2,OIDC,ADFS,SAML)
Experience with AWS
Experience with Okta
Familiarity with basic networking and related concepts including subnetting, load balancing, firewalls, and DNS
Familiarity with DevOps and agile practices
Familiarity with configuration management and orchestration tools
Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools
Familiarity with basic Git usage and hosted providers (GitHub, Bitbucket)
