POSITION DUTIES Leadership ofTitle III Strengthening Institutions Project Coordinate BC Pathways work between and among Academic Affairs and Student Affairs. In collaboration with key stakeholders, develop and provide ongoing training for faculty and staff on the BC Pathways framework. Participate in implementation of Target X (customer relations management system) coordinating with IT, Student Affairs, and other stake holders regarding training and adoption of system. Coordinate with workgroup leads to ensure Title III work, such as peer mentor program and first year seminar, is implemented. Manage campus communication and work with the PIO on external messaging about BC Pathways, Integrated Advising and Student Supports, and other Title III objectives. Coordinate with Math faculty leads and student affairs staff to implement new STEM Math pathways, shortened pre-college math sequence, and monitor completion rates. Ensure that messaging and programming around Title III objectives reflects the college's policies and commitments to equity, diversity and inclusion. Campus-wide Coordination and Communication Develop and implement communication plan to inform the campus community of the Title III Strengthening Institutions Project. Coordinate Title III Steering Committee and work groups, including membership, meetings, planning and communication. Work with Marketing Department to develop and update Title III Website. Provide high-level coordination for other Title III grant-funded objectives that other campus departments will implement. Grant Management, Evaluation and Reporting Develop and implement a Project Policies and Procedures Manual to ensure effective management of the federal Title III grant. Manage Title III budget and authorization for all expenditures. Maintain all grant documentation and records. Oversee the work of an external Title III Project evaluator. Oversee quarterly data collection in collaboration with the AssociateVP of Effectiveness and Strategic Planning. Ensure federal, state, Dept. of Education, and college programmatic and fiscal compliance. Prepare and submit timely, accurate quarterly federal reporting. Perform other duties as assigned.
Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution or Bachelor's degree plus equivalent years of work experience.Any combination of relevant education and/or experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Five (5) years of experience in higher education, preferably with a focus on community colleges. Knowledge of Guided Pathways framework and its implementation. Experience implementing and managing complex projects requiring compliance oversight (i.e. federal grants.) Ability to bring diverse groups with varied interests together to achieve common goals. Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to engage speaker with experience training faculty and staff. Ability to work independently, manage and coordinate multiple projects with minimal supervision, and maintain high quality work products that meet critical deadline. Demonstrated equity minded and culturally competent leadership and advocacy skills and experiences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Broad knowledge of and experience with college systems across academic affairs, student affairs, and administrative divisions. Experience in change management and leadership. High degree of proficiency managing web hosted and cloud based tools, including collaborative work space, data repositories, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software needed to perform required tracking, monitoring and reporting requirements.
