The Senior Resource Planning Analyst of Analysis and Reporting supports the units within Office of Student Academic Success (OSAS.) Designs, develops, and maintains data sources, reports and dashboards. Translates business questions and needs into clear and concise information to assist administrators in making decisions about student admissions and outcomes. Identifies appropriate data elements necessary for responding to questions/issues and identifies sources of required data. Implements selected methodology to develop results. Evaluates data quality and ensures extracted data is valid, appropriate and accurate for specific analysis projects. Performs comparisons against identified standards, targets, and/or strategic plans. Generates reports of results for use by internal and external customers. Identifies and/or develops appropriate tools (spreadsheets, databases, graphs, charts, etc.) required to conduct analysis. Identifies issues affecting analysis that need further development or final resolution prior to completion of project. Identifies problems and provides solutions. Communicates results and recommendations to appropriate constituencies. Supports other business intelligence report writers and analysts throughout the organization. In consultation with supervisor, creates responses to ad hoc information requests for admissions analyses. Creates responses to requests for student information from media, higher education professional organizations, government offices and other institutions. Provides data reports, summaries, and consults with OSAS administrators and other university officials. Works with a team of data analysts and report writers to meet the demand of requests in the evolving IT landscape. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Report writing and analytical, design and development experience in workplace setting required, preferably in a higher education or institutional research setting. Knowledge of SQL querying tools (e.g., SQL Tools, Microsoft Access), Business Intelligence (BI) tools and Microsoft Office applications required.
Tableau or other data visualization software experience is preferred.
Target Salary: $60,000.00 - $63,000.00 Annually
