ECTC is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Grants and Contracts in the Office of Institutional Advancement. The Director of Grants and Contracts will performs a wide range of key functions necessary to the grant development and management process.
This specialty covers the activities related to the full lifecycle of sponsored program administration including identification of funding sources, proposal submission, contract negotiation, reporting, and post-award administration related to funding provided in the form of grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts from external/internal funding sources (e.g., federal/state agencies, private companies, or foundations).
Responsibilities will include:
Researches external funding possibilities for strategic priorities of the college. Prepares grant applications, proposals, and contracts.
Coordinates receipt of awards and contract documentation; maintains proposal and funding records, and prepares scheduled and special reports, studies, and analyses.
Analyzes and evaluates contract and grant budgets for correct calculation of expenditure categories.
Guides and facilitates faculty and staff in the development and preparation of proposals, contracts, and agreements, to include budgets, documentation, and interpretation of funding requirements.
Assists faculty and staff in understanding the policies and procedures that govern expenditures out of these accounts. Works closely with the ECTC Business Office and KCTCS Office of Grants and Sponsored Projects.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Assists the President and/or Dean of Institutional Advancement with special projects.
Bachelor's degree and four years related experience, or equivalent.
Experience in academic or government administration preferred.
Experience in working with federal grants and/or contracts.
Demonstrated financial acumen.
Proficiency in MSWord, Excel and Power Point applications.
Ability to work effectively on a team.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Strong skills in planning, organization, accuracy and attention to detail.
