Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Business Consultant (Part Time), for the Research Department at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.
The Business Consultant provides advanced level consultation as it relates to research activities within the Department of Research.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Provides advanced-level consultative services for the Department of Research.
Conceptualizes, designs and implements research projects in the areas of vision science and the cognitive neuroscience of schizophrenia.
Based on a thorough knowledge of the field and the research literature, identifies research projects that would contribute to increasing the body of knowledge related to etiology, presentation, treatment and course of schizophrenia.
Translates research ideas into concrete, specific and implementable research projects that meet the standards of scientific inquiry and that comport with University requirements.
Assists in the preparation of research proposals to obtain grant support from federal, state and local units of government as well as foundations.
Manages and coordinates research projects.
Minimum Education and Experience:
PhD or Master's Degree in a mental health or related discipline plus seven (7) years of postgraduate, professional experience in a relevant behavioral health care setting.
Applicants possessing a degree in social work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Prior experience conducting vision science and schizophrenia research.
Prior experience writing and submitting research grants.
Must posses a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
