Manager, VIDA Center US-NY-Brooklyn Job ID: 2019-6870 Type: NYU Tandon School of Engineering (PE1001) # of Openings: 1 Category: Academic Program Support New York University Overview Under the direction of the Center Director, and in collaboration with administrators from the Computer Science Department, this position is responsible for the promotional, organizational, and administration services for the Visualization and Data Analysis Center (VIDA) as well as the daily operations. Develop programs as well as strategic and operational initiatives in support of VIDA goals. Manage individual projects and assist with establishing priorities for team projects with the Director. Assist with brand management and ensure consistent messaging. Create, develop, and market the production of programmatic materials, including but not limited to, brochures, flyers, programs, and publications. The Manager will closely interact with other department staff in all matters where sharing of resources and information are needed. This position will manage on-boarding and off-boarding and ongoing administrative duties for visiting scholars and exchange professors, researchers and student workers; oversee the assignment of office space; assess and assign IT system access; develop and implement operational policies and best practices for the office environment. Responsibilities Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree Required Experience: 3+ years Preferred Experience: 3+ years Providing a high level of customer service. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing and spreadsheet applications. Good proofreading and writing skills. Proficiency with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office. Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills. Ability to work with and relate well with the colleagues in NYU and NYU communities, government officials, the public, and students.
