The Richmond office of McGuireWoods seeks a junior associate for the Business Tax Group in the Tax & Employee Benefits Department. McGuireWoods seeks a junior tax associate who is interested in becoming a full time member of the Business Tax Group who will devote their practice to work with the Federal, State and Local Tax Controversy Team in our Richmond office. The typical duties for the position will involve working on both administrative tax appeals and tax litigation in federal and state courts, including the US. Tax Court, the U.S. District Court, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and state judicial courts of general jurisdiction.

Candidates should have 1-2 years of experience in representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service, state and local government tax agencies and courts in tax controversy disputes and litigation in a law firm setting. Excellent academic credentials and an LL.M. in taxation are required. Please submit cover letter, resume and transcript.
