• Develops and oversees the strategic initiatives and programs for the fraternity and sorority community, as well as the governing councils for fraternity and sorority life on the Lincoln Park and Loop campuses.
  
• Advises student leaders in setting the overall vision and direction for the fraternity and sorority community, comprised of 1,200 students and growing.
  
• Serves as the staff advisor to the Panhellenic Council and Multicultural Greek Council.
  
• Develops additional strategic initiatives based on student needs, fraternity and sorority community needs and university requests.
  
• Attends weekly council meetings and meets one-on-one with council leaders providing supervision, support and mentorship.
  
• Develops and assesses learning outcomes related to this functional area.
  
• Serves as an expert on national fraternity and sorority life best practices and data.
  
• Creates curriculum and implements learning opportunities for councils and chapters on topics including: values-based leadership, recruitment, academic achievement, organizational management, diversity, health and wellness and personal responsibility.
  
• Advises, meets with and communicates regularly with fraternity and sorority chapter presidents, other chapter leaders, faculty and staff advisors, alumni/ae advisors, and inter/national headquarters staff and volunteers.
  
• Provides chapter advisors with resources and tools to support chapter growth and development.
  
• Communicates, interprets and enforces university policies and expectations to advisors and national offices.
  
• Manages chapter extension processes and implementation.
  
• Creates and makes policy recommendations, as needed, to the Office of Student Involvement, Dean of Students Office and Division of Student Affairs.
  
• Serves as the staff advisor to DemonTHON, a year-long fundraising organization, benefiting Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.
  
• Advises student leaders in promoting, coordinating, and evaluating DemonTHON events and other initiatives.
  
• Provides leadership training for student members.
  
• Serves as the liaison between DePaul University and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.
  
• Performs other durties as assigned.
  

• Master's Degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, College Student Personnel, Counseling, or related field.
  
• At least 1-2 years experience in advising students, advising organizations and working with diverse populations. (2 years of graduate experience will equate to one year of professional experience).
  
• Experience working with fraternities and sororities.
  

• Budget management experience.

• Responsible for budgets totaling up to $50,000, as well as contract negotiation and management on behalf of the university.
