The Director of the ECTC Fort Knox Center is responsible for daily operations of the center, including recruitment, advising, enrollment, retention, persistence, and completion. The director establishes and maintains positive relationships with the Fort Knox Army Education Center personnel, area K-12 schools, business and industry, and civic and non-profit organizations. He/she is responsible. The Director fosters a work environment that cultivates collegiality, transparency, and inclusion, while simultaneously developing a student environment emphasizing student success. The Director works closely with Division Chairs and the Chief Academic Officer to ensure academic continuity, and with Student Affairs personnel to ensure effective and efficient onboarding and progression to completion. The Director manages the ECTC Fort Knox Center staff, and ensures compliance with all KCTCS and College policies and procedures.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Assist students with the admission processes of the college to include testing, collecting documentation and assisting with application for student aid.
Advise students to ensure they are taking appropriate courses to meet their educational objectives. Provide students with information about all the programs and options available to them through the college. Research, identify, and implement needed academic and support programming.
Supervise the work and evaluation of the staff members at the campus and any work study students utilized.
Serve as Army Liaison and the primary contact between the Educational Center staff and ECTC. This includes meeting with the Army staff to complete any agreements or work through any required activities. Provide oversite to the Army Career Skills Program.
Work with the Chief Academic Officer and Division Chairs to develop the appropriate classes needed at the campus. This work will also include the recommendation of new programs and the cancelation of classes if warranted.
Coordinate efforts to market the offerings of ECTC to the military and related audiences connected to Fort Knox.
Education: Bachelor's Degree and four years related work experience, or equivalent (i.e. Master's Degree and two years related work experience).
Frequent travel to service areas, valid driver's license require.
Ability to lead a team and work effectively with all members of the team
