The Clinical and Translational Science Institute's All of Us PA Research Program at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Senior Research Participant Recruiter.
The incumbent for this position will plan, develop, and execute engagement activities that drive enrollment in the Philadelphia area under the direction of the Director of Recruitment and in collaboration with Sr. Leadership following a geographical engagement plan. The incumbent will do same day travel within the catchment area, with the responsibility of cultivating relationships, establishing partners and identifying enrollment sites with established partner organizations in a designated geographic area or focus on a specific population.
Organizations may include physician practices, community organizations, universities, local government organizations, and other non-profit groups etc.
The individual will maintain these relationships, develop an effective communication plan, and check-in strategy. The incumbent must be able to engage and communicate study specifics to groups and individuals and answer questions to assure that potential participants understand the key components of the program. This will include educational sessions for non-profit leaders, clinical staff and providers to promote the understanding and support of the program. They will organize a calendar of recruitment events to optimize recruitment activities across multiple sites. The individual will also schedule appointments and may support the completion of online consents and surveys.
The incumbent must be an experienced professional with excellent communication skills and an engaging personality to positively promote this important national study. The ability to work independently is a critical component of this position, as are very strong organizational skills. The incumbent must also understand the importance of adherence to research protocol to reduce deviation while communicating research components across a diverse group of patients and key stakeholders.
The incumbent will be responsible for tracking engagement and recruitment activities to assess the impact of specific methods and suggest improvements to meet enrollment targets. They will collect and enter contact information into a central database. They will also establish scripts and talking points about the program and tailor them to specific audiences. The incumbent will collaborate closely with the larger program Engagement and Recruitment team, attend program meetings and share challenges, successes and best practices.
This position will communicate with Pittsburgh based leadership regularly and attend regular meetings (monthly or bimonthly) in Pittsburgh. All of Us PA is a member of the Precision Medicine Initiative, an NIH-funded initiative with consortium partners across the country enrolling 1 million people in a national cohort of research participants. The Clinical and Translational Science Institute at the University of Pittsburgh is responsible for recruiting for enrollment in Pennsylvania.
Bachelor's degree in a health sciences or communications field preferred. Previous management experience required. Experience recruiting and working with large cohort longitudinal projects preferred. A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
