Baylor University seeks applications for a Speech-language Pathology tenure track faculty position in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders, within the Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences. Position: Endowed Goodpasture Chair of Speech-Language Pathology in Communication Sciences & Disorders (Associate/Full Professor Level). The Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at Baylor University offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology and is CAA certified. A proposal to begin a Ph.D. program in Communication Sciences & Disorders is currently under review. Baylor University and faculty in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders seek an outstanding researcher and educator to fill this Endowed Chair of Speech-Language Pathology position beginning August 2020. Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of this position include maintaining an active, collaborative research agenda with high likelihood of potential for extramural funding, teaching undergraduate or graduate courses in our residential or online programs, and engaging in departmental, university, and professional service. Salary and Review Date: Salary is commensurate with professional experience and qualifications. Qualifications: Qualifications include a commitment to excellence in research and teaching and a Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology. Candidates should have a distinguished record of national/international scholarship and a history of successful teaching and student mentoring. Candidates with all areas of expertise are encouraged to apply. Appointment will be at the Associate or Full Professor Rank. Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences & Disorders and an active research agenda with current or recent history of external funding. ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) and eligibility for Texas state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology are preferred. |
