Responsible for daily accounting activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts and maintaining prepaid accounts. Contribute to the Finance Department achieving all required accounting and government standards and company’s objectives and mission.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounts Receivable and Cash Receipts
Maintain Prepaid Accounts
Carry out daily accounting activities
Assisting with preparation of monthly vouchers
Assist with the preparation of reports and required financial data for government and private grants and awards
Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing
Meet all accounting government standards and requirements
Various accounting support tasks or projects as required
Participate in audit preparations
Assist with general ledger transactions and fixed asset accounts and registers
Involvement in continuous improvement and system enhancement projects
Perform other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred Associate’s Degree in Accounting, or commensurate experience/education
Proficient in using technology as a professional tool
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Timely and accurate accounting and processing support
Experience with Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
Superior attention to detail and integrity
Experience and interest in data entry, data analysis and data organization
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs, and walk up and down stairs
Must possess valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and proof of automobile insurance
Must pass applicable background tests
Annual Salary – $31,200 to $37,440 Work Schedule – Full Time; Regular Business Hours
