Education, Health & Society: Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs and Graduate Education, reporting to the Dean, to work in partnership with department chairs to support and direct initiatives in three main areas of responsibility: Faculty Recruitment, Retention, and Development; Graduate Education; and Research and Sponsored Programs; teach one course per year in home department. Require: An earned PhD in a discipline within one of the College’s five departments: Teacher Education, Educational Leadership, Educational Psychology, Family Science and Social Work, and Kinesiology and Health; record of teaching, research, and service that qualify the candidate to be a tenured, full professor in the College. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, collaboration and mentorship skills and be able to demonstrate a productive commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion across all areas of responsibility. This position is available to persons who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time and indefinite basis. (Persons authorized to work on such a basis include US citizens, lawful permanent residents (“green card” holders), asylees, refugees, and temporary residents under IRCA.) Desire: Formal administrative experience; demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; democratic/collaborative leadership skills; effective communication, organizational, and mentorship skills; awareness of the role of intersectionality, positionality, and an ability to critically reflect on one’s work.
